Any deposit paid via credit card, cash or check is bound by the agreement written below regardless of signature on contract.

Agreement for sale and purchase

According to the terms and conditions of this agreement, the Business agrees to deliver the described goods to the Customer, and the Customer agrees to pay for and accept these goods.

Delivery Schedule

We (Grit and Oak) will deliver the described goods to the Customer at the address provided. We strive to get as close of an estimate on our delivery dates as possible. But due to unforeseen circumstances, that delivery date could change. We will communicate any timeline changes as soon as we are aware. All of our products are handcrafted works of art and we will not push something out the door to meet a deadline. We take pride in our work and with that can come unexpected delays.

Payment Schedule

In order to hold your place in the production schedule, a 50% deposit is required. Upon completion of your product, payment is due in full on or before installation. Installation cannot occur until payment is complete.

Refund Policy

Once the deposit is paid and materials are ordered, no deposit refunds are given.

Design Services

Our design services fee is factored into the final cost of the finished product. If exact measurements are not provided, and design services are rendered, but a finished product is not completed - the client will still be responsible for a design services fee.

Modifications

To change anything in this Contract, the Customer and the Business must agree to the change in writing. Any changes to the product can result in a change to the final invoice.

Preparations

You confirm that the estimate accurately reflects the design requested and affirm that the walls are prepped and ready for installation, that includes walls being primed and floors being level and square. Grit and Oak reserves the right to delay installation if walls are not prepped and ready for cabinet installation. Any additional fabrication could result in additional charges on the invoice.

Ready to Stain / Paint and Hardware

All of our products come ready to stain or paint unless specifically noted in your invoice. We provide hinges and drawer slides in your invoice, paint, stain, knobs, handles, countertops and appliances are not included unless specifically noted.
Any hardware holes drilled will be invoiced at $5/ hole.

Wood Disclosure

All wood species are a product of mother nature. Wood species, grains, textures and colors vary depending on growing location and other environmental factors. Because of this, each tree is unique which creates the natural beauty of the real wood and the infinite variations in grain, texture, and color.

This is especially true of hardwood and hardwood veneers; hardwoods are particularly noted for their variety in graining. It is the nature of hardwoods to have mineral streaks (light brown, dark brown, to black areas in the wood) and great variation in graining. Since the number of mineral streaks varies from board to board, you may notice differences between cabinets, doors, drawers or even on the same panel. Mineral streaks or unusual graining are characteristic of natural wood.

Due to these natural and environmental factors, Grit and Oak Woodworks cannot be responsible for naturally occurring changes experienced by the wood in your cabinets.

Consent to Distribute Media

Homeowner consents to allow the distribution of photos from their project on social media and our website. We will ensure there is no Personal Identifying Information in any of the photos displayed.

​

Term and Termination

If one of the parties chooses to end the Agreement prior to product delivery, the Customer is responsible for paying for all work and costs incurred up until that date.
